Ad transparency

We believe paid content should be easy to identify and easy to investigate. Every promoted recommendation on Recsy is labelled Promoted in feeds and listed here while it's live, with the advertiser, targeting and creative shown publicly.

What counts as an ad

Anything in a feed, Top Recs tab, or category page that was paid for by an advertiser. Personal recommendations from people you follow are never paid placements.

How ads are targeted

• Category — e.g. shown to people browsing "Restaurants".
• Location — within a radius of a postcode or city, when relevant.
• We do not target ads using sensitive categories (health, religion, sexuality, political opinion, ethnicity) or based on the content of your private messages.

Reporting an ad

Email ads@recsysocial.app with the campaign ID below if an ad is misleading, unsafe, or violates our Advertiser Terms.
